Five exhibitions by international and Austrian artists meet interactive formats such as a puzzle rally, disco drawing with live visuals, and painting with light.

Short guided tours, musical storytelling, and an open studio turn the museum into a vibrant space of discovery for visitors of all ages.

Puzzle Rally

With our puzzle rally, we send you on an exciting search for clues and your art-viewing journey through the museum and our current exhibitions. Solve our tricky riddles, and even a prize is waiting for you in the end (while stocks last)!

6 to 11.30 pm
Meeting point: Infopoint in the foyer, main entrance, level 0 /then you walk through the exhibitions by yourself
Age group: For everyone aged six and over.
We offer our puzzle rally in German and English.

Disco Drawing with live visuals

Our cinema transforms into a picturesque dance floor, its walls morphing into living sculptures. Grab a pair of headphones, follow the rhythm and sounds, and let your pen dance freely across the drawing surface. In the process, you become an interactive work of art yourself: we capture every voice in the room and convert them into a real-time visualisation, which we immediately project onto the walls!

6 to 11.30 pm
Location: mumok cinema (white room) / level -4
Age group: For everyone

Painting with light

At our various interactive stations, you’ll experiment with the art of painting with light: with music in your ears and guided solely by non-verbal communication, you and your partner—or a whole group—will create a collaborative masterpiece on our illuminated easels. Alternatively, pick up one of our fluorescent light tablets, sink into our cosy cinema seats, and let your imagination run wild.

6 to 11.30 pm
Location: mumok cinema (black room) / level -4
Age group: For everyone.
