Are you in the mood for an exciting Easter adventure? At mumok, Easter becomes a colorful discovery tour throughout the museum! Hidden among the artworks are riddles and Easter eggs. In the art education studio and in the exhibition Never Finished! The Evolving Museum, you'll find various creative stations to join in. You can also look forward to a wide range of family workshops.

Family workshop for children aged 6—12
Based on his work Blindensturz, which refers to a painting by Pieter Brueghel the Elder, Tobias Pils and Gerlind Zeilner invite you to a workshop that focuses, among other things, on the technique of blind drawing. The workshop is aimed at one child and one accompanying adult who want to embark on an artistic adventure together.

Music & painting workshop for families with children aged 5 and up
What does an image sound like? What color is a sound? Together with Boomwhackers, we create rhythms and paint expressive picture melodies with gouache sticks. We combine all our works into one large artwork and finally bring it to life as the mumok orchestra.

Our art education studio turns into a printmaking workshop. We experiment with different printing techniques. A wide range of materials and colors is available, and with a printing press and stamps you can create your own series of unique prints.

Painted Easter egg pictures are hidden for you to find. At the same time, you solve our new puzzle rally. Each question leads you to a hands-on station where you can become creative yourself.

Wooden Easter eggs and lots of colorful paints are waiting for you in the art studio. Design your own Easter egg or create an Easter egg pendant for your Easter tree.

Costs and Registration for our Easter Program
The family workshops – Mit geschlossenen Augen, ColorSounds, Magic of Dry Clay, and Print Studio – require payment and a ticket booking. You can find all information regarding the costs of each workshop, booking details, and the associated registration through the provided links.
Participation in the program items Detective Fun Among the Artworks, Easter Studio, and the mumok Free Play Station is free of charge for children and adolescents up to 19 years. Accompanying adults may also participate in all of these formats for free with our annual pass or a valid exhibition ticket.
