Anna Viebrock’s Stage for the mumok Collection—on view through September 30 with free admission!
On June 20, 2026, Terminal Piece opens—an immersive experience spanning five levels of mumok that brings together works from the collection with new pieces and external loans. Each level forms its own act and explores different aspects of the relationship between the artwork and the viewer. As a prologue to the multi-act exhibition, set designer Anna Viebrock has created an extraordinary presentation of the collection for the entrance level of mumok. The result is a walk-in Gesamtkunstwerk—a stage that changes with every movement.
On view are key works by, among others, Lutz Bacher, Joseph Beuys, Bruno Gironcoli, Hans Haacke, Sol LeWitt, Friederike Mayröcker, Dieter Roth, Gerhard Rühm, Rudolf Schwarzkogler, Max Octavian Trauttmansdorff, Rosemarie Trockel, and Franz West.
This prologue on Level 0 is open to the public with free admission from June 20 through September 30, 2026.
