When does the pressure in our society become too great, when does the mind reshape his willingness into resistance, dragging its worn-out body along? A burning question, which the Spin-Off Version of the Viennese company Liquid Loft’s newest work HOLD&RESIST poses emphatically and in a fascinating manner. After its spring premiere at donaufestival in Krems, a concentrated version of the piece with different music comes to Vienna. After the vast church space in Krems, where Noise legends Radian provided the sound, the white cube version in the mumok basement brings an intense soundscape created by the impressive dancers and their bodies, acoustically translating each tremor, each step, each hold and resist into visceral urgency.
