Every two weeks, new creative stations invite visitors to explore, experiment, and create. These freely accessible activities welcome families, children, teenagers, and adults to discover different artistic techniques and get creative themselves. Whether working with colour, light, printmaking, or experimentation, each station offers new ways to spark the imagination and experience artistic processes through hands-on activities.

Participation

  • No registration is required for the creative stations.
  • Participation in the creative stations is free of charge for children and teenagers up to the age of 19.
  • An adult accompanying person is required for children under the age of 14.
  • Accompanying adults can participate free of charge with a valid exhibition ticket. Please purchase your ticket online or at the museum ticket desk.

New from October 10, 2026

mumok Atelier
An entire floor dedicated to creativity

On October 10, 2026, mumok will open its new Atelier. Soon, an entire 140 m² floor of the museum will be available as an open space for making, experimenting and trying new materials and techniques.

Located on mumok’s third basement level, the space was designed in collaboration with Viennese architect Christa Stürzlinger and is equipped with high-quality materials and tools. Visitors can work with clay and earth, plaster, sand, charcoal and chalk, wire, string, wool and felt, cardboard, paper, and found objects made of wood and metal.
