ImPulsTanz | Boglárka Börcsök & Andreas Bolm: Figuring Age

[8:tension] Young Choreographers’ Series | Austrian Premiere

Sunday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 26, 4, 6 and 8 pm

Boglárka Börcsök first made an appearance at ImPulsTanz back in 2018 with Eszter Salamon when performing in The Valeska Gert Museum at mumok. Figuring Age again displays her aptitude for transformation: in collaboration with filmmaker Andreas Bolm, she portrays three over-90-years-old expressionist dancers from Budapest: Irén Preisich, Éva E. Kovács and Ágnes Roboz. Börcsök's embodiment of the elderly dancers is an ongoing work of becoming, a vertigo that interweaves stories and memories with gestures of everyday life and draws direct connections between movement practices and strategies of survival.
