Tolia Curriculum for Children
Plate Painting
In the Plate Painting workshop, we’ll do something that’s usually forbidden: playing with food. After a shared meal, the table becomes a painting surface—and the leftovers become paint and modeling material. Together, we playfully test what food scraps can do as an artistic medium.
Tolia Curriculum, Tellermalerei is aimed at families with children aged 5 and up, as well as anyone who feels like family. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Bookings made without an accompanying adult will be automatically cancelled. Please inform us of any food allergies or intolerances when booking via kunstvermittlung@mumok.at.
The meeting point is the mumok entrance area on Level 0. Please leave jackets, backpacks, and other belongings in the cloakroom and wear clothing that may get dirty.
The workshop will be conducted in German.
For any further inquiries, please feel free to contact us via email at kunstvermittlung@mumok.at.
Tolia Curriculum is a project conceived by Georgian artist Tolia Astakhishvili, unfolding as a daily schedule of workshops, lectures, screenings, readings, and participatory formats for children and adults. In the lead-up to Figure of the Child, her largest exhibition to date, Astakhishvili opens her production and installation process to the public as she develops her work in situ.
