Around 10,000 sheets of information and texts about over 300 international filmmakers to be available for research and science in the near future
Since 2015 the written estate of Ernst Schmidt jr. is located in the mumok. In addition to documents, personal calendars, notes, drawings and posters, the archive also includes documents on a comprehensive lexicon on the subject of film, on which Schmidt jr. worked for many years. It contains around 10,000 sheets of information and texts on over 300 international filmmakers.
As part of the ongoing process, the material will be developed, inventoried and partially digitized so that it will be available to research and science in the near future.
