While experiencing writer’s block in developing this film and waiting for inspiration to strike, it occurred to the filmmaker that all of the friends she intended to shoot, her so-called muses, had ADHD. Drawing a connection between her muses—charismatic centers of attention—and the generalized assault on our collective attention, Van-Huy uses ADHD as a fake theme through which to engage her muse-friends in interviews and in improvised activities, ultimately creating what she calls an “Action Documentary.”
