Program

Sound of Wall – CID RIM Live on the Facade

To kick off the Long Night of Museums, Viennese electronic musician CID RIM will bring the museum’s striking lava basalt facade to life with his live percussion, transforming the iconic building itself into an instrument. Clemens Bacher, also known as CID RIM, has made a name for himself internationally with his blend of jazz, electronic, and club music.

Location: level –1 (below the foyer)

Disco Drawing with Live Visuals

Our cinema transforms into a picturesque dance floor, and the walls become a moving sculpture. Grab a pair of headphones, follow the beats and sounds, and let your pen dance freely across the canvas. In the process, you yourself become an interactive work of art: We capture all the voices in the room and transform them into a live visualization that we project onto the walls right away!
6 to 11 pm
Location: mumok cinema (white room) / level –4
For all ages
No registration required. First come, first served.

Traces of Light

At our various interactive stations, you’ll try your hand at collaborative painting. With music playing in the background and relying entirely on nonverbal communication, you’ll create a shared work of art as a duo or in a group on our illuminated easels. Or grab one of our fluorescent light tablets and let your imagination run wild in our cozy theater seats.
