mumok invites visitors to join short impulse tours through Anna Viebrock’s stage setting for the mumok collection.

On June 20, Terminal Piece opened, a comprehensive experience that extends across five levels of mumok and brings together works from the collection with new artworks and external loans.

Each level forms its own act and explores different aspects of the relationship between the artwork and its viewers. As a prologue to the multi-act exhibition, set designer Anna Viebrock has developed an extraordinary presentation of the collection for mumok’s entrance level.

The result is a walk-through Gesamtkunstwerk, a stage that changes with every movement.

On view are key works by, among others, Lutz Bacher, Joseph Beuys, Bruno Gironcoli, Hans Haacke, Sol LeWitt, Friederike Mayröcker, Dieter Roth, Gerhard Rühm, Rudolf Schwarzkogler, Max Octavian Trauttmansdorff, Rosemarie Trockel, and Franz West. 

Participation in the impulse tours is free of charge. Level 0 is also accessible free of charge through September 30, 2026.

No registration is required. Places are allocated on a “first come, first served” basis.
