A Stage in the Museum – In Conversation with Anna Viebrock
Conversation between Anna Viebrock and Jan Philipp Gloger
How do spaces—displays, installations, stage sets—shape our perception of art? Taking as its starting point the prologue to the exhibition Terminal Piece on mumok’s entrance level—which Anna Viebrock has conceived as a total work of art featuring works from the museum’s collection—this event brings together two perspectives: those of the internationally renowned stage designer Viebrock and that of Jan Philipp Gloger, Artistic Director of the Volkstheater Wien.
In this conversation, Viebrock and Gloger will explore how spaces and presentations can shape narratives, create atmospheres, and reflect social realities. They will discuss the connections and differences between the theatre and the museum, and scenography as an artistic practice.
Admission is free of charge. An online ticket is required.
