The main summer exhibition Double Lives – Visual Artists Making Music opens on 23 June at mumok. In tandem, ImPulsTanz presents live first-rate and experimental works from the fields of dance and music in its many facets – ranging from new performative concerts by Akemi Takeya and Ivo Dimchev to two decidedly different tributes by Eszter Salamon and Jule Flierl to exiled artist Valeska Gert, who has been rediscovered just at the right time. Clara Furey, on the other hand, has dedicated her performance When Even the to the great Leonard Cohen, while Andreas Spechtl & Thomas Köck present a ghostdance parcours at the museum. Ofelia Jarl Ortega’s and Mathias Ringgenberg aka PRICE’s contributions introduce Sex, Lies and Sounds of the millennials to the exhibition. In Alex Baczynski-Jenkins’ Us Swerve three roller-skating performers entice us for three hours as if in a never-ending pop song at the mumok Hofstallung. This is also where Liquid Loft present their Vienna version of Babylon (Slang) in the scope of their Foreign Tongues series, and Christine Gaigg invites visitors to Meet her in intimate encounters in times of erotic confusion.
In the course of the cooperation visitors of the ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festivals get reduced admission to mumok: € 9,50 instead of € 12,–
