Our iBeacons in the exhibition galleries and a simple and intuitive interface make it easy to access our education program and information on current exhibitions—all presented in a user-friendly and attractive manner. The service includes text, images and sound related to artworks.
mumok sees both interpersonal and media-based education as a key feature of a museum visit. Thanks to the support of Der Standard newspaper, public education programs for adults have been free of charge for many years. No registration is required. Guided tours and public discussions on exhibitions have fixed starting times and are conducted in groups. For visitors who wish to explore our exhibitions in their own time or more privately, our mumok Multimedia Guide is now available free of charge and can be accessed before, during, and after a museum visit. The Guide is updated with each new exhibition and is a key tool for making our exhibitions and artworks accessible to a broad public.
