Roee Rosen makes appearances in varying guises and always provokes renewed speculation. Over the years he has worked on developing a figure, a feminist prototype going by the name of Justine Frank, using various means of expression – painting, literature, film. In his most recent project he has been occupied by the fictitious Russian poet Efim Poplavsky (aka Maxim Komar-Myshkin) who emigrated to Israel where, amongst other things, he founded the Buried Alive Group, an artist association with members from the former Soviet Union.
